Today, we travelers have a lot of options to consider. Where to go, how to get there, where to stay, what to take, how to plan, where to find offers … You are right. Well, this article aims to introduce you to a non-hotel stay option.
Hotels are a great option. They can be exactly what you need for a trip, especially if it is just two. You can go with large networks that are trusted, or small chains that may require digging to provide you with a nice, clean and affordable hotel room with everything you need. However, if you are traveling with many people or with your family, the hotel room can be cramped, devoid of privacy and expensive after moving into apartments and adding additional amenities (such as a kitchenette).
Hotels are great because it's easy to find many good deals with all available destinations.
But you have other options ….
** Or maybe an apartment? Apartments are great and in some places the main option. The apartments can be small or large. They offer additional space, additional amenities, excellent location and prices comparable to hotel rooms.
For example, we lived in a quaint (small) apartment in Miami. We rented it for only $ 400 a week. It was perfect for my wife and I. The beds were removed from the wall, we had a very clean room, private entrance to this place and beaches, quiet area, 2 swimming pools, kitchen with equipment, nice bathroom, cable and a great view of the Atlantic. It was our "love hut" for a week and much cheaper by almost USD 200 than any hotel in the area.
** House renting. They are now great because of today's real estate market. If you're traveling with a large group, this may be the best choice. Get everything you need or live like luxury in a seaside holiday home.
Once 18 members of our family went to Florida and had to rent a house. It wasn't on the ocean, but on the bay. It was perfect. It had 3 levels, a hot tub, pool, 4-5 bedrooms, lots of space, amenities and lots of fun. We had a great time because everyone lives in different parts of the country. After dividing into 4 ways it was very affordable.
** Resorts and all-inclusive. This is a great option for families or if you don't want to worry about reaching into your pocket. It seems that the all inclusive offer is decreasing in the US, but it can be found abroad and it is usually the best choice. Resorts are great for those who want to spend time together, get a lot of privacy and space, and enjoy various activities such as golf, fishing, children's items, spa, etc.
** Time shares. They grow enormously in a traveling world. Time shares are great if you use them. You pay a fee in advance and once a year to use your time share. There are different types, so you would like to do your research. Purchasing a time share is similar to buying a home because you don't want to make decisions lightly.
My wife's parents have one and love them. They can go wherever they want as long as they are in designated places. We used them during our honeymoon in Palm Beach, Florida. It was first class.
If you and your family travel at least once a year, think about sharing time.
** Camping and camping parks. Due to the way campsites and camping parks are being created at the moment, the term "raw" does not come to my mind. At the campsite you can get almost everything you can get at a hotel. They are cheap, live in the nature for a week and have a great time. There are a few things to consider if you're new to camping, so you'll want to do your homework before you decide on it as an option.
** Houseboats. Live on the water when traveling. This is another option to choose. My aunt has lived on a boat in Florida for years and loves it. This is something that many do not even think about, but look at it, you may not go back to staying ashore on future trips.
We hope that this article has shed some light on where you can spend your vacation. Villas, cottages and other types should be considered for specific destinations and holidays.
Most importantly, have fun, find great offers and enjoy your trip !!
